The Haiti Disaster Relief event hosted last night by MODELINIA and SPiN in New York was a resounding success! Thanks to the commitment by host Susan Sarandon and a variety of other fashion mavens/moguls and celebrities such as Veronica Webb, Russell Simmons and Wyclef Jean, the event raised nearly $20,000 for the Friends of the Orphans Haiti Initiative.
A portion of proceeds from the silent auction will also benefit Friends of the Orphans, and will be live until January 27 at www.CharityFolks.com/helphaiti. Monetary donations are also still being accepted at https://apps.facebook.com/causes/434964/.

Friends of the Orphans is thrilled and grateful to be the sole beneficiary of a benefit co-sponsored by SPiN New York and MODELINIA called the "Haiti Disaster Relief Fundraiser."
Held tonight, Wednesday, January 20, beginning at 9:30 p.m. at SPiN New York, a social ping pong club located in Gramercy, the fundraiser will feature a large number of celebrities and local fashion and design experts. Led by actress Susan Sarandon, the event will offer guests the opportunity to socialize and play ping pong with the top faces of fashion, feature a bar and silent auction including fashion items and sports memorabilia.
There will be a $20 suggested donation at the front door and it is open to the public.
