In partnership with Friends of the Orphans, we invite your church to help us fight the cycle of poverty. We ask your church to commit to finding sponsors in your parish for a set number of years. At the end of this commitment, we hope to be able to extend our impact through the children currently in our care, while also increasing the number of children we serve.
With the commitment of churches, individuals and other organizations, we seek to give more than 3,600 children the financial support they need and the love and guidance to help them become proud leaders and members of their society. Sponsorship provides critical emotional and financial support for these children.
What makes Friends of the Orphans unique?
The children in our homes receive holistic care and attention, going beyond their basic needs. Each child is given not just necessary health care and education, but some of the best medical care and educational opportunities offered in their country. Most importantly, children receive spiritual guidance from dedicated staff and volunteers who are motivated by a calling to live a life of service to others.
Why now?
With rising food, education and medical costs around the world, it is essential that we aggressively seek opportunities to do all we can to support the children at NPH homes. If we choose not to act now, an entire generation of children that could have been supported through NPH and Friends of the Orphans will not be able to reach their full potential. This is the stark reality for many children living in the countries where NPH has homes: Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru.
What are the benefits of Child Sponsorship, and how much does it cost?
Sponsorsing a child allows you to build a personal, lasting relationship through ongoing correspondence and opportunities to visit your child at his/her NPH home. The recommended sponsorship level is $50 per month, but begins at as little as $30 per month with 100% of your child sponsorship donation going directly to support the home where your Godchild lives.
How do we get started?
To become a Church Partner or for more information, please contact your Regional Child Sponsorship Manager. We can schedule a meeting with you and/or your church's leadership to discuss the program and how your parish can help those who are less fortunate. We will support you with guidance, feedback and hands-on help.
