Educate ONE Life, Impact ONE Future
Our names are Natalie Lesage, Sara Bennett, and Madelon Morin. We have all had the opportunity to travel to a Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH, Spanish for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”) home. Natalie has traveled NPH Honduras and Guatemala, Sara has traveled to NPH Dominican Republic and Madelon has traveled to NPH Guatemala. We are brought together through one common goal of making a difference. We have seen what these children have gone through and what their potentials are. We want them to know that they can achieve high levels in school, become what they want, and have a successful future.
Our campaign, Educate ONE Life, Impact ONE Future, is specifically designed to support just that. We solely support the educational necessities each home needs for the children to succeed. Our mission is based off of a quote by NPH Founder, Father William B. Wasson, “Education will take my children out of poverty into which they were born.” We have all seen children living in poverty, and we all want to make an impact.
Sara says, “There is a gap between being successful and barely meeting the qualifications. We can help children on the path to a promising future by eliminating that gap. Education is the bridge.”
Natalie states, “Because I have had the opportunity to visit NPH Honduras and NPH Guatemala, I have realized I have so much and the children have so little. I believe we should help those who are less fortunate than us especially through education. By being educated, the children can have the life that they deserve.”
Madelon believes, “Each child in our world deserves a chance to go to school; a chance to have a successful future. It is us, the people who are fortunate and have a stable life, to help the people in need and support them through the daily struggles they face.”
