  EXAMPLE Willis of Minnesota enthusiastically conducted a special “Sweetest Week” celebration before Valentine’s Day 2011 to raise awareness and money for Friends of the Orphans. Willis exceeded their goal and raised $1,200 in four days! There was a special activity each day: • $1 guesses on the number of Valentine candies in a large container - the winner received the 202 pieces of candy and a Willis gym bag. • Treat bags filled with goodies were sold to employees who gave them to other associates or family members • A Valentine medallion search in the office, with the winner receiving 4 Minnesota Swarm tickets and a parking pass for a suite at the Xcel Energy Center • A Soup and Salad Buffet Lunch which had more than 50 attendees and included drawings for D’Brians gift certificates and Swarm tickets. There was a guest speaker who reiterated the importance of Friends of the Orphans and the scope of their mission. The client managers in the Commercial Construction Practice of Willis Minnesota worked diligently on these events, donating their time, talents and great recipes. Their goal was to raise enough money to sponsor at least one child. It was such a successful event that they were able to support two children for a year.
